Situated adjacent to the B&B is the village shop at “Casa al Chianti” with it’s typical, local quality products, a friendly, jovial place with the emphasis on genuine good food.
A wide selection of fare for any time of day, be it snacks, lunch or dinner are offered, such as Porchetta (roast ham) sandwiches prepared with Tuscan bread (baked in wood fired oven), local salami and raw ham and farm produced cheeses. Pasta dishes and soups are also offered and are of the highest quality and in the finest Tuscan culinary traditions.
The wines offered are as one would expect from such famous production zone as this, try a glass direct from the barrel or take away one of the traditional straw covered bottles.

Among the specialities of the shop…. Canapés prepared with Tuscan bread and pork tongue, truffle and porcini mushrooms, Tuscan canapés with either white beans or fresh tomatoes and basil, platters of local salami and hams, or mixed cheeses and grilled mixed vegetables in olive oil. Lonzino di maiale and capocollo (Cured Tuscan Pork specialities) with hot buttered canapés, marinated sardines with fresh “Tropea” onions and olive oil, mozzarella made from buffalo’s milk and hand sliced raw ham from the Casentino region near Arezzo. Among the sweets, we have home made jam tarts all year round and at other times seasonal sweets such as sponge made with “chestnut grapes”, a favourite at the time of the grape harvest.
